I'm so sad this fucker decided to NOT make music yet again, or at least, not music I'm privy to.

You know, I was just about to make a Blake post...

Apparently it wasn't really Blake's decision to disband forgetters. It was actually a thing where Caroline wasn't "feeling the scene" of Brooklyn punk rock. Basically it wasn't queer friendly enough for her or something.

Other big news? Well, I quit forgetters after we returned from our European tour in June. That's my "official statement" for now so please don't bother to contact me with questions concerning my decision, particularly if you write for internet music sites. A longer critique of my experience in this band (and the culture that has surrounded it) as a queer ally and feminist minded lady will come soon- but only after I get some of my own personal projects done.

By the way, I missed this thread last summer as it was posted around the time the server was operating around 5% capacity and just noticed it recently. I actually find it quite charming how batshit fucking insane he's become. It just feels so...genuine, the unapologetic vibe of "Hey, I'm nuts and fuck you if you don't like it."

Has he explained the name change at any point?

Tez, have you listened to the latest forgetters album?

I have been uncharacteristically disinterested in music these past 6 months or so. Or at least, in bands I am already familiar with. When I do listen to music, it is usually to random stuff by random bands I find here and there. So no, this is actually the first I am hearing of their new album. I thought they unofficially broke up? I guess not. Glad to hear they're still making music.
